'BACK TO THE FUTURE' BAND
The Flux Capacitors are a five-man band from Los Angeles who dress up as characters from the movie, arrive in a DeLorean and nail all the "Back to the Future" hits. CNN's Rocsi Diaz reports.

GEEKS PARTY HARD AT COMIC-CON AFTER DARK
From Xlevelent (Experience Level Entertainment) came three nights of inclusive nerd nightlife at Fluxx nightclub during Comic-Con. Ready Player One kicked off the party week early on Preview Night, with the Flux Capacitors. Thursday was a Stranger Things themed party, The Upside Down! Awesome Mixer Vol. 2 was Friday, featuring Darryl “DMC” McDaniels, Farscape’s Gigi Edgley, and Tony-award winning actor from Fantastic Beasts and The Walking Dead- Dan Fogler. These parties were open to both fans and pros alike, celebrating geek culture in a curated settings with one of a kind performances.

The Flux Capacitors release official music video for ‘Ghostbusters News Anthem’

Earlier this year, we here at Ghostbusters News teamed up with retro-flashback band The Flux Capacitors, releasing a fan-centric music video for their newest song, “Ghostbusters News Anthem,” premiering during the annual Ghostbusters Day celebration.

The Parties: Crunchyroll teamed up with Experience Level Entertainment for two of the weekend’s bigger parties at the swank nightclub Fluxx: Ready Party One and the Awesome Mixer Vol. 2, both of which traded on 80s and 90s style to attract fans going from the con floor to the dance floor by featuring DMC (yes, that DMC), Dan Fogler from the Fantastic Beasts film series, 80s cover specialists the Flux Capacitors, and Farscape star and singer Gigi Edgley among other acts.

Today marks one year since Ghostbusters: Afterlife was given its North American theatrical release, and in celebration, we’re going take a look back at one tie-in that some fans missed, and that was the AR mobile game, Ghostbusters: Afterlife ScARe, in particular, it’s totally rockin’ theme song!

In between sips of Coors Light, the Flux Capacitors, the band, are turning on the flux capacitor inside the DeLorean that accompanies them at their live shows. (It's a real flux capacitor. Or at least, it’s as real as the one that launched Doc and Marty into the continuum in Back to the Future, which is to say, not very.)

SDCC 2019: XLEVELENT Events – Ready Party One, The Upside Down-A Stranger Party, and Awesome Mixer: Vol. 2

After the days of running around the convention floor and the Gaslamp District during San Diego Comic-Con 2019, I was invited to head over to the amazing events being put on by XLEVELENT (with support from Crunchy Roll and Nerdist on alternating nights) on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday nights. The parties were themed and titled ‘Ready Party One’ (Wednesday night), ‘The Upside Down: A Stranger Party’ (Thursday night), and ‘The Awesome Mixer: Vol. 2’ (Friday night).

The original DeLorean time machine from “Back to the Future” is getting a new home

Looks like the original DeLorean time machine from Back to the Future is heading to its new home at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles. The iconic automobile from the Robert Zemeckis sci-fi trilogy will be accelerating over to their show floor from it’s long-time home at Universal Studios Hollywood, where it has been on display for many years.

Last week, LA’s Petersen Automotive Museum kicked off it’s “BACK TO THE FUTURE Month” with a couple of really cool events that were held to celebrate and welcome to its new permanent home, the DeLorean Time Machine picture car from the iconic and beloved 80’s film BACK TO THE FUTURE.
